This camp is designed for children that enjoy nature and the outdoors. Activities will be based on a nature and science curriculum for ages 8-12. Camp is held at McGough Nature Park.

Spend the week searching for secret items around the park with our daily scavenger hunts.
Week 4: June 19-23: Colors of Nature
Study the patterns, colors, and textures found in flowers, leaves, feathers, and fur.
Week 5: June 26-30: Fear Factor
Test your nerve with creepy, crawly, goopy things that inspire fear.
Week 6: July 3-7: Florida Archeology
Learn about the native Tocobaga Indians, who inhabited Pinellas County hundreds of years ago.
Week 7: July 10-14: Animal Adventures
Learn about the amazing creatures that inhabit our planet.
Week 8: July 17-21: Lizard Wizard
You’ll be a whiz with reptile facts after taking this class about cold-blooded creatures.
Week 9: July 24-28: Cryptozoology
Okapis, bigfoots-are they real? Study myths and facts about real and fictional animals.
Week 10: July 31-August 4: MythBusters
Is there a dark side to the moon? Do we really use 10% of our brain? Use science to prove or disprove common myths and facts.
