Get ready for the Fall Holiday Season with Pam as she teaches you the ins and outs of cooking and baking. Pam will supply all the ingredients and recipes to make your fall sparkle. Amaze your friends with your culinary expertise. There is a $12 per person food supply fee for each class, payable directly to the instructor on day of class. This program offers tips on how to have honest and caring conversations to address some of the most common issues. Topics covered include: going to the doctor, deciding when to stop driving and making legal and financial plans.
Effective Communication June 25, Tuesday 11a-12p Communication is more than just talking and listening. Join us to explore how communication changes when someone is living with Alzheimer’s, learn how to interpret the verbal and behavioral communication, and identify strategies to help you connect and communicate with at each stage of the disease.
Understanding & Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors June 26, Wednesday 11a-12p Behavior is a powerful form of communication and is one of the primary ways people living with dementia communicate their needs and feelings as the ability to use language is lost. Join us to learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common triggers, and learn strategies to help manage some of the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.
Managing Money June 27, Thursday 11a-12p If you or someone you know is facing Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or another chronic illness, it’s never too early to put financial plans in place. Join us to learn tips for managing someone else’s finances, how to prepare for future care costs and the benefits of early planning.

Paul Bosacki is a teacher and tutor for 31 years in math, reading, and writing for PreK-3rd grade. Mr. B can also tutor kids grades 4-5 in reading and writing only. Parents, if you feel your child could use a little help to get them to where they need to be contact Mr. B for a consultation on what your child's needs are. A schedule will be worked that's best for you and your child. All tutoring will be held at Southwest or Highland Recreation during open business hours. Tutoring sessions will be for one hour and group sessions are available with a max of three.
