The registered auto debit card will be charged the difference for any pricing adjustments and fees. REFUND AND TRANSFER POLICY-SPORTS & SPECIALTY CAMPS:
By signing below I understand that all requests must be submitted in writing no later than one week prior to the first day of camp. There is a $10 processing fee for all refunds and transfers.
Camps may be canceled due to a lack of enrollment. Please make every effort to pre-register weeks in advance so a camp will not be canceled unnecessarily.
What happens if my child's sports or aquatics camp is canceled due to inclement weather?
Every attempt will be made to make a timely decision on the status of the camp when inclement weather is possible. Parents can call 727-518-3016 for cancellation information.
Example Scenarios:
-
If it is raining in the morning prior to camp beginning, a decision will be made by staff by at least ½ hour prior to the start time as to whether camp will be canceled or not. Call 727-518-3016 to confirm
-
If there is light rain (no lightning), the camp will continue. If the weather is more severe and the forecast calls for it to continue throughout the morning camp will be canceled. Call 727-518-3016 to confirm
-
If camp begins and bad weather appears during the program, campers will be taken indoors or under shelter, until the weather passes, or until the end of camp. Campers may be picked up if this occurs
-
If a day of camp is canceled a prorated amount for that day will be credited back to your membership

Procare App
An invitation from Procare will be sent to each family that registers for a City of Largo summer camp. The City of Largo is using Procare for our summer camp communication, sign in and out, and paperwork. It is vital for each family to complete the registration before their child’s first day. You can monitor Procare for important information and messages regarding your child's camp as well as get updates from the supervisor of your child's camp.
What is Procare?
The City of Largo uses Procare. Procare is an online network that helps our department eliminate paper forms used to collect emergency contact information, waivers, consent, and medical information from families registering for our programs and activities. A valid email address is needed when registering for summer camp. All participants will receive an email following their registration inviting them to go online and complete the paperwork process. These emails will not go out until May.
How can I arrange accommodations for my child?
The City of Largo strives to make its programs, services, and activities accessible to qualified individuals with disabilities. The City will make reasonable modifications to the programs, services, and activities outlined in this brochure to ensure accessibility to such individuals. If you feel you need a particular modification to access any service, please call 727-587-6720 at least seven days prior to the first class for assessment. We encourage all children to receive the benefits of recreation.
Reasonable accommodations are assessed and made on a case-by-case basis. Campers should be able to:
-
Have the ability to follow basic instructions
-
Have the ability to function in a group structure
-
Have the ability to participate in group activities
-
Have independent bathroom skills
What is the photo policy?
Photographs taken by the Recreation, Parks & Arts Department at camps or programs are often used in marketing material including print and web. If you do not wish to be photographed or have a family member photographed, please let the photographer or camp directors know in advance.
