The City of Largo offers a variety of specialty camps throughout the summer at the Southwest Pool. Those registering online on or after February 1 must have a valid Largo recreation card.
Beginner triathletes will learn the ins and outs of the sport. Triathletes will learn running, swimming, biking, transitions, and nutrition, culminating with a full triathlon on the last day of camp.
Each camper must be able to tread water for 1 minute and swim 25 yards on the surface. If a child is registered for both a full day camp and a sports/specialty camp, parents must provide transportation between the two camps. Accommodations are not available if a field trip is scheduled as part of the full day camp calendar during the sports and specialty camp.
Athleticism and creativity are combined in the team sport of synchronized swimming. This camp will teach kids how to work as a team while learning the basic skills of the sport. Suncoast Waterworks coaching staff will lead the fun with water and land skills. A synchronized swimming show will take place on Friday to show off their new skills.
