Take Back Your Self Care in May
1. Rediscover a favorite hobby or find a new one
From art classes to sports leagues, to fitness classes, we are encouraging women to take some time to rediscover what they love or to explore a new hobby.
2. Have a Date Night
Whether it's a solo date, girls' night out or a date with your partner, Largo has a ton of great ways to have a fun night out. Check out a show at the Central Park Performing Arts Center (CPPAC), take a walk in one of our parks, or visit one of our local restaurants for a bite to eat. Have kids? We've got you covered with our Friday Night Fun program at both Highland and Southwest.
3. Take a Swim (or a slide)
What's better than a dip in the pool on a hot day? Take a swim at our large swimming pool at Southwest or become a kid again at Highland Family Aquatic Center and slide down our large twisty slide.
4. Read a Book or Listen to a Podcast
The Largo Public Library has a ton of different books and podcasts to listen to for a variety of interests. All you need is your library card!
- Access articles, news, reference sources, and more on women and self care through the Health & Wellness database and through the Psychology collection database. Login with your library card to view the lists!
Some items from our eResources:
